Chris Kyle: A True Military Hero

Many military heroes are honored daily for the dedication and sacrifices they make for our country. Everyday people do not know what these brave men and women do to protect their country. Just like every other military hero, Chris Kyle is remembered for how well he fought to protect his men and our country, and he will continue to be known as “the most lethal sniper in military history” (American Sniper). All military service men and women are honored for what they do for us, but Chris Kyle will never be forgotten for putting his life on the line to keep everyone alive. When Kyle was born his parents knew he was going to grow up and love hunting, but they never imagined his love being that big. Chris Kyle was born April 8, 1974 in Odessa, Texas (Deutsch). During his entire life Chris grew up on the ranch and dreamed about being a cowboy when he grew up. Ever since Chris was a young boy, he fell in love with hunting and shooting guns. When Kyle was learning to read he was also learning to love guns and hunt (Mooney). Chris claims that his need for being in the military came from his experiences hunting with his father.
One main reason he was ready to leave the military was to avoid a divorce with his wife and because he never saw his kids (Mooney). He missed both of their births because he was deployed. Chris drank more and worked less after leaving the Navy. He was always quiet and never joked around like he always did (Mooney). However, one day he was tired of feeling sorry for himself, so he helped co-found a company called Craft International. Craft International helped provide tactical training for the military (Deutsch). Kyle also helps found FITCO cares, a non-profit group that helped those struggling with PTSD (Deutsch).
