The software recommended for Riordan in QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions and Fishbowl Inventory (Manufacturing / Hosted Services).With these three programs Riordan can track all customer relations in real-time, make orders, track all orders and inventory, and keep accounting records. These packages are completely compatible with each other and work in unison to make Riordan more efficient and profitable.

This will include the amount, cost, inventory max level, inventory minimum level, and supplier information. You may also specify a warehouse location for the supplies to be stored so they can be found easily.
Second, the finished part information is entered into the Fishbowl software. This is the part that is to be manufactured. It should include all the sub-components needed to make the finished product. This includes amounts of each sub-component as well. There should be an additional adjustment made to each sub-component to account for scrapped items and for excess material waste. This can be adjusted at any time based upon the actual amounts used.
After the components are entered into the system with their maximum and minimum order quantities, it can automatically create a purchase order for the products that are low in inventory. The program keeps track of which suppliers offer the best price and are the most dependable. This also applies to the finished parts if back –stock is desired. According to Fishbowl, “with a powerful bar coding solution, you [the manufacturer] can easily track all your items and approach 100% accuracy in your inventory tracking” (Fishbowl, Barcoding Solution). Not only can 100% accuracy in inventory tracking be achieved, time can be saved as well as money by increasing the employee productivity, cutting down on the excess inventory, and freeing up capital. But what if something doesn’t have a bar code to scan? What kind of scanners can be used? Fishbowl has thought of these things. They have included in their software the option for the user to print a customized bar code and/or custom label to scan in addition to offering a few different types of scanners that have been tested and approved for use with the Fishbowl system (pictured to the left, right, and below) (Fishbowl, Barcode Software and Barcode Scanners).
