According to the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), almost eleven percent of people in the United States had texted while driving in 2008. The government of Texas should stop people who drive while texting because it can be dangerous and many serious risks like injury or death. Texting while driving can cause an accident because the driver is attention is on the phone not on the road. Having an accident can affect the individual by causing someone death. Every year, more than one and a half death cases in the United States that because of texting while driving.
Also, it causes injury for Both the driver and another driver or individuals that on the road which is count as a crime.
Texting while driving can cause increased property damaged. This can cause many other things. For example, if a driver drives and accidentally hit the traffic light Pole. This can be very risky for the other drivers because they will have a hard time of knowing when they need to stop. Also, it can be the waste of money of the driver because he or she need to give the government fee for doing that. In addition, the government of the city or state will waste money too because thy need to order another traffic light pole and to send the worker to fix it, and for sure they need to pay the worker.
