People were buying radio's, washing machines, vacuum cleaners. Radio's really hit the market hard because they started with 1 radio station on Pittsburgh and within 3 years there were more than 500 radio stations nationwide.
Another big part of the 20's was Prohibition, on January 16, 1920 at 12 A.M. the federal Volstead Act closed every tavern, bar and saloon in America and made it illegal to sell any intoxicating beverage. So now people are selling it under the table and people are still drinking the same if not more. I think that prohibition is like marijuana today because there are a lot of people who smoke marijuana and some states have even legalized it although the majority have
