A key abstract idea which provides a better outcome by acknowledging that racism still occurring in the American culture and those whites, should be aware of the overall effect towards harming individuals centered on ethnicity. The past experiences which led me to be pushed around during my time as a personal trainer, which ultimately forced me to pursue a different career towards being a police officer.
The ability of American society to change the issue of inequalities regarding towards the category of race will always be an unknown. With the issue of race surrounding my ability to shine towards my strong desire to achieve greatness in my career path, the impact shows how the impact has affected me as a whole. Desai’s work reflected a great understanding of the struggle of a colored individual, as she tries to “fit in” as an “American”; however her identity was looked upon differently even though she grew up in the United States. Thompson and Moore’s gave an eye opening vision towards the racial inequality of how language was brought upon white Americans, as privilege played a role towards the vision of an individual’s perspective, such as my future towards becoming a great personal trainer. In this way, the process of experiencing my recognition towards the racism in the English language taught me the issues of racial inequality, and how disadvantages could be a noticeable feature towards one’s ability to shine in the future. My race towards my identity will not change, as I will still accomplish my goals of being an amazing personal trainer, and officer towards my bright future.
