Others are suitable for growing things like wheat, barley, citrus, dates, and olives. Greece has a peninsula that extends from the balkans into the Mediterranean Sea and is located in southeastern Europe. There are three geographical regions that Greece can be split into: Northern Greece, Central Greece, and the Peloponnese. Northern Greece consisted of Epirus and Thessaly. Thessaly is full of infinite beautiful valleys, amazing landscape, and huge mountains. Its terrain is mountainous and covered by flat endless plain. The amazing green forests were filled with chestnuts and black pine trees. Next is Central Greece, it is more mountainous than Northern Greece and contained 7 countries. One of them was Attica. Attica holds the city of Athens. Athens is surrounded by mountains, has dry hot summers, gets some rain in the fall, and has medium winters and snows very little. Last is the Peloponnese. It is covered by the Mount Taygetos mountain range. There are two groups of islands in the region consisting of the Saronic Islands and the Ionian Islands.
