Romeo and Juliet have many similarities. Both Romeo and Juliet are are teenagers. They are both very young and not mature enough yet to make the decisions they do in the book. In the book Romeo and Juliet are both very irrational. They only had known each other for barely two days and already wanted to marry. They hardly had any time to bond and already they were trying to marry. Not only that but the circumstances they were in were very harsh. Both families hated each other and not only that but Capulet is determined to marry his daughter Juliet to Paris. Romeo is also 16 whilst Juliet is 13, weeks away from 14. They are at two very different ages. In the story Romeo at first likes a girl named Rosaline. He really likes her and swears she is the most beautiful girl ever and thinks he is destined to be with her. A little while later in the book, Romeo sees Juliet and says the same he did to about her that he said about Rosaline. This makes it feel like he doesn't actually mean it and quite frankly he is very changeable. Juliet on the other hand is very loyal. She first meets Romeo and he is making moves to try and kiss her. Throughout the scene she is trying to act very loyal and avoids any kissing with Romeo. Eventually she does give in, but she showed lots of respect and effort to avoid it and it was also forced and
