Gale and Romeo are very similar in the way that they both thought that they found the one true love for themselves. Rosaline and Katniss eventually do not like either Romeo or Gale, although Rosaline makes that a lot more noticeable for Romeo than Katniss does for Gale. Haymitch and Friar Laurence are both there to be their guides and leaders. As they seem to always know what is happening, and involved in everyone’s business. Katniss and Juliet also seem to be similar in the aspect that they both fought for a cause that was treasured in their lives. Katniss fought in The Hunger Games for her district and family, which was risking her life. Juliet risked her life by taking a potion, which lasted 48 hours, to be with her true love.
The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet and The Hunger Games are very alike with their love and violence, time period, and characters. There were many scenes of love in both of these plot lines that affected a lot of people. If these things did not happen it would be a completely different story that would make a different impact on the reader.
