The reason why it shows foreshadowing is because the King of Verona declared that the next Montague and/or Capulet to start the fight will be exiled. This is a foreshadow of Romeo’s future exile after he slays Tybalt. One of the types being character vs character. Some examples of this are when you see some of the Montagues and some of the Capulets show up to the same place at the start of the play. They get into a big fight but that is stopped soon after it started by the King. Another example of this is when some of the Montagues are joking around with each other and then Romeo joins them but soon after he joins Tybalt comes over to them and asks Romeo to fight. He does not want to fight because he just got secretly married to Juliet and now they are family. Mercutio gets angry and decides to fight Tybalt himself but gets killed which makes Romeo very mad and he ends up killing Tybalt and is exiled from Verona. Another type of conflict Romeo and Juliet has in it is character vs self. An example of this is when Juliet hears the news about Romeo killing her cousin Tybalt and hears he has been exiled.
