Romeo And Juliet Ending Analysis
The ending of Romeo & Juliet was not very satisfying in terms of how happy it was. William Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet has many moments that could be changed, in order to result in a happier more satisfying ending. A few of these events would be for Mercutio to not get in a fight and get killed. And another event would be for Juliet to wake before Romeo Drinks the poison. Either one of these event changes could independently result in a more conclusive satisfying ending.

The first story changing event could have been if Mercutio did not get killed in a fight with Tybalt. Mercutio died after being in a fight with Tybalt, his friends thought he was joking, however he was actually stabbed. “Romeo, Brave Mercutio is dead”(Act 3 Line # 1589).

This quote by Friar Lawrence in William Shakespeare’s play, Romeo and Juliet, perfectly sums up two different types of relationships.     Even though Mercutio was killed off and not talked of again, he was a vital character in aiding to the death of Romeo. Initially, Romeo was too despondent to do anything fun or interesting because Rosaline was not giving him what he wanted but Mercutio, after hearing about the Capulet party, was able to persuade Romeo into going to the party.
