Love was something that every person feels in their life, but in Romeo and Juliet they went above and beyond for their passion of love. On the other hand in Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, the two young lovers Romeo and Juliet, meet and fall in love. The unaccepted love causes the lovers to plot to run away. However passion, bad timing, and accidents were forces of fate responsible for the two lover’s deaths. Therefore fate is responsible in many ways for the deaths of the two young lovers, Romeo and Juliet.
Accidents were one of the forces of fate responsible for the deaths of the two young lovers. In Act 3 scene 1, Benvolio reveals to the Prince that Tybalt had slain Mercutio and fled. Benvolio says, “An envious thrust from Tybalt hit the life of stout Mercutio”.(Act 3,scene 1,164-165) Furthermore Benvolio had to explain what had happen in this brawl, he then reveals that Tybalt had slain Mercutio, but Mercutio was the first to draw his sword. Also another reason why accidents was another cause of fate is when Romeo meets Juliet at the Capulets party and falls in love with here at first sight. Romeo says to Juliet,
As younger lady o’er her fellows shows. The measures done, I’ll watch her place of stand, And touching hers, make blessed my rude hand. Did my heart love till now? forswear it, sight! For I ne’er saw true beauty till this night. (Act 1, Scene 5, 48-52)
Romeo finds out that there is a beautiful young lady at this party that he must see. When Romeo had found her it was love at first sight even though at the end of the party he finds out that the girls name is Juliet and is a Capulet an enemy of theirs. Therefore accidents was one of the main reasons why fate is responsible for the deaths of the two young lovers.
Bad timing was another force of fate responsible for the deaths of the two young lovers. The Friar Lawrence which is the priest of Verona was too late before Romeo had killed himself in the sepulchre. Friar
