Love in young people is very different than in older people because young people are feeling love for the first time and older people have experienced it more than one time. In the play, Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet undergo a great change due to love. Romeo went from only caring about not being able to have sex with Rosaline to caring about marriage and his love for Juliet. Juliet went from not caring about marriage or marrying Paris to caring about marriage and her love for Romeo.
In the play, Romeo started out only caring about not being able to have sex with who he thinks is the love of his life, Rosaline, which changed right after he met Juliet and fell in love with her. In addition, when he goes to the Capulet party where he meets Juliet and falls in love with her. At this point it is obvious that Romeo has forgotten Rosaline. He also doesn’t seem to care that she is a Capulet and that this love was not meant to be because their families were foes. Furthermore, he becomes so attached to Juliet that he decides he can’t live without her and he kills himself. As you can see he has changed a lot because I bet he wouldn’t have done that for Rosaline. It is known at this point that his feelings for Juliet were true and that he truly couldn’t live without Juliet, who he thought was dead. Throughout the play, Romeo undergoes a great change just for Juliet and he ends up dead because he doesn’t want anyone but Juliet.
