When he sought to end the Cold War, he revised policies and stood against the Soviet Union during these tough times. To help bridge the gap to ending the Cold War, he pushed his Strategic Defense Initiative. This proved to be extremely critical to the collapse of the empire which led to the ending of the Cold War. Reagan was repeatedly praised for his work and efforts in order to get this done. Reaganomics would be considered another major accomplishment for Reagan.
