Ronald Reagan's Contributions To America

Between the years of 1981 and 2001, three intelligent men known as Ronald Reagan, George H.W Bush, and Bill Clinton represented America. Each of these men had the ability to contribute to America in their own unique way. Many different opportunities were given during these three presidencies, which each man used to shape America differently. Though the United States has seen forty six different Presidents throughout history, Ronald Reagan, George H.W Bush, and Bill Clinton were three of the most important Presidents because of their contributions to the United States of America. Ronald Reagan served as the 40th President of the United States from the year 1981 until the year 1989. Reagan was born on February 6, 1911. As a young child, he grew up in multiple different Illinois towns. His family finally settled in a small town known as Dixon where he attended and graduated from Dixon high school. During his second term, President Ronald Reagan decided to form a relationship with Mikhail Gorbachev. Mikhail Gorbachev was the leader of the Soviet Union. Though Reagan at first felt a strong hatred towards the Soviet Union, Gorbachev changed his views. Upon realizing that the Soviet’s weren't as bad as they seemed, Reagan and Gorbachev began working together to put an end to the cold war. Gorbachev wanted to achieve perestroika and glasnost which means to rebuild and maintain an open mind. Though the two men had developed a bond over the years, they did have certain events that caused for some issues. One of these fallbacks was when a nuclear attack at Chernobyl occurred. Though this was a problem, Reagan and Gorbachev were able to move
