SFC Orriola Case Study
During the monthly NCOICs meeting, all supervisors, including the First Sergeant and myself, commented about the unstable conduct presented by SFC Orriola. Each supervisor presented recent situations where SFC Orriola showed exaggerated attitude, nervousness, and some kind of restlessness. Leaders concurred that they were stunned with the Sergeant First Class reactions and at the same time worried. We all agreed that SFC Orriola’s disturbing reaction and emotional behavior could affect his performance and worrisome since SFC Orriola was one of the most experienced senior Leaders working with applicants, recruits, family members and civilians. Due to this fact, all concur to offer support and assistance to SFC Orriola. After the NCOIC
meeting I asked MSG Colon to coordinate the meeting as soon as possible because the situation was a general concern within the Battalion.
