Just like any other painting, line in this painting is what creates the flow of the painting. Different shapes such as a disfigured human face are visible but, the shapes of a pocket watch in a different length are the most visible and stand also standout in color. Light blue and yellow are used in the background as well as simple colors in other parts of the painting. The usage of space and form is not as perfect because of the background yet; Dali has balanced the painting with his use of one point perspective and three dimension to make the painting appear more symmetrical. He studied in the students’ Residence in Madrid before he moved to Paris. He experimented with different styles such as futurism and cubism. Beside his paintings, Dali also did a couple of sculptures. He settled with a style that is known as surrealism and he was an expert at it. Dali painted his “unreal dream” as he said.
