Background Information: My outstanding medical issues are now primarily aesthetically skin related; Poikioderma and Suberric Dermatitis on the chest and neck. In my early 30's I experienced difficulty is swallowing food. I was referred to Gastrospecialist; Dr. Mark Flaxman in Jupiter Florida. who placed bands in my oesophagus and prescribed me an acid inhibitor. Considering colon cancer history in my family background, he suggested a colonoscopy and endoscopy exam every five years. In my early 30's, up to the age of 41, I misused alcohol, started a programme of recovery and have remained sober since. In my early 40's consequences for my unhealthy lifestyle started to appear as high blood pressure readings. Followed by lack of energy, physiological changes in chest shape and lack of sex drive led to the discovery of “Low T.” I found it harder to get to sleep and stay awake. Overall, I lacked energy.
It had been suggested to me to have a sleep study done due to difficulties in obtaining enough rest to carry out rostered duty periods that exceeded 22 hours without sleep. He did not find the use of a CPAP to be of any benefit to me. He suggested that a strategic use of amphetamines early in my waking day could be an option, but seemed too complicated due to the nature of my job. He left me with the advice that I should try to find another job with a compatible salary which would allow realistic rest.
A detailed Cardio exam done in Hong Kong because I had felt a pain in my back that might had been suspected as a kidney stone.
