Thesis Statement:
The three components that make up my worldview are God, knowledge and ethics, because they shape my thoughts, experiences, and education and life decisions.
Component 1, Enter Topic Sentence here: The presence of God is inside me and surrounds me daily.
• Supporting Point 1- Your Thoughts: Being aware that I am a vessel of God and that he is living inside me and knowing that he walks beside me each day, helps me to have Godly thoughts. I think about positive things and things that are clean and pure.
• Supporting Point 2- Your Experiences: God sends many different experiences our way. I feel it is a test of our faith to see how we react under certain circumstances. If I make my actions Christ like in all daily experiences, then they will always honor God and be the witness he wants me to be for him.
• Supporting Point 3- Your Education and Life Decisions: Meditation and discernment of the scriptures, praying daily about life decisions, and using my education is part of determining my worldview. With God living in me and surrounding me, he is guiding my steps and leading my path. It is up to me to follow him and receive his blessings for doing …show more content…
so.
Component 2, Enter Topic Sentence here: God gave me knowledge and he expects me to use it!
• Supporting Point 1- Your Thoughts: Being knowledgeable helps me to form my opinion about things. If I am not knowledgeable on a certain topic then I need to research it and pray to form an opinion. To have a clear thought on something you must first know about it.
• Supporting Point 2- Your Experiences: Life is full of experiences. This is how we construct our view on things. We know about what we have experienced in our lives and this is why we are all different. Choosing right over wrong and showing the world that I am a person of good moral character will have a profound effect on my testimony.
• Supporting Point 3- Your Education and Life Decisions: You are never too old to learn. I am learning new things each day and using things I have learned in the past to make decisions for my future. I believe that God wants me to think things through and to pray about decisions and to not make life
changing decisions in haste.
Component 3, Enter Topic Sentence here: Ethics is a part of daily life, because I make choices that will affect me daily.
• Supporting Point 1- Your Thoughts: I can choose for my thoughts to be pure and Godly each day or sinful and ungodly. It does matter what I think, because God knows my thoughts and my heart.
• Supporting Point 2- Your Experiences: Ethics can affect my experiences and experiences can affect my ethics if I let them. It is a daily battle to choose right over wrong and what we show to the world will determine our character and affect or testimony.
• Supporting Point 3- Your Education and Life Decisions: Ethics is a major part of education. Being honest and doing your own work is showing others that your character is Christ like and you are honest and can be trusted. It also shows you will make Godly choices when it comes to lifes decisions and your character and testimony would never be questioned. This is how we lead others to Christ by our actions.
Conclusion: Again identify your worldview and expand on the components that make up your worldview and define your purpose.
Each of us has a worldview. We just may not realize it sometimes, but we all have presuppositions and biases that affect the way we look at life and what is happening around us. My worldview is like my pair of glasses I put on each morning that alter the way I perceive what I view each day.
My worldview is formed by my belief in the existence of God (Heb. 11:6) and that everything is measured by his standard. I believe that the Christian faith makes reasonable sense in a world that seems to have lost all morality. Gods truth is absolute and can only be realized and understood when an individual submits to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. (John. 14:6)
Each day I am confronted with many new experiences and depending on how I handle some of them can be life altering.
God gave me a brain and he expects me to use it! I am also a child of God and he expects me to act like one! I live each day making decisions about my life and I must use my education and ethics to make those many decisions. I believe that he expects me to know what I believe and why. God created everything that exists (Gen. 1:1) and it is all held together by God (C0l. 1:17). I believe that the Bible is the divine inspired word of God revealed to mankind. (2 Tim. 3::16) I believe that man chose to rebel against God in the Garden of Eden and that is when Sin and Death entered into the world (Rom. 5:12-14). I believe I must believe in (john 3: 15-19, 5:24), and obey (Luke 8:21, John3:20, John 14:21, 23-24), Jesus is the only way I can have eternal life and be with
God.
Christianity is neither reasonable nor rational to many people. It is faith based and not something you can see or touch, though you can see the results and touch the handiwork of God. It answers my hearts questions and those I have in my mind through the word of God and meditation and prayer. I live by faith and depend on God through everything. He will never leave or forsake me, because I belong to him(Heb. 13 5b).
