This article is about Sandra Bland who on the 10th of July was pulled aside in Texas. Sandra Bland was threatened with a taser, forced out of her car, had her right to record removed, was hurt by the officer, and slammed into the ground. She told the officers that they were hurting her but they did not care, they did not listen. She also told them had no right to force her to stop recording or to get out of her car. Sandra Bland was arrested and after three days was found dead in her cell. It was supposedly a suicide

This shows that America does not live up to its ideal of “Justice for All” because Slanda Bland was brutally arrested for no reason. First of all, Sandra Bland was originally pulled aside for failing to signal while changing lanes when she was ordered to stop smoking and when she refused things got messy. In the article it says, “‘I’m in my car, why do I have to put out my cigarette?’ Bland answered. ‘Well, you can step on out now,’ Encinia said. Bland refused, saying she did not have to step out of the car.” He then continued to threaten her to get her out of her car. She told him not to touch her because she
Sandra Bland was a BLACK LIVES MATTER activist. This reminds me very much of Eric GArner who was arrested for selling cigarettes on the street. He was pushed to the ground (much like Sandra Bland) and was put in an illegal chokehold. He yelled “I can’t breathe” eleven times. The police you excessive amount of force for a small crime that lead to his death. It seems that more and more Black people are being arrested for minor things or nothing at all with brutal force that is not necessary. It is important that this article is shared with more people because this force and these deaths need to stop. There is no excuse for them. the police are supposed to be protecting everyone, they are supposed to people we trust. Police should not be using excessive force. BLACK LIVES
