Mrs. Gober,

We are parents and we are writing to inform you of a problem with AP US History 11 class. We know that you are aware that there is a problem in this class because met with you on Friday about the problem. He is not the only one that has a problem with her. We know that other people have complained about her also. Since school has started has come home and told us things that would happen in her class. We would say maybe she is just having a bad day. We tried to give her a chance because we knew that she was new to this class. We know that this is an AP class so the students in this class are the ones that care about their grades. We have read email to you and we agree with him. Changes need to be made in her class. is all about an easy class but this class has no pattern. They never know what she is going to do next. She may give them a test on something they have not even studied. They do not even have text books to use. Isn't there some kind of curriculum for an AP US History class? They will be taking the AP exam at the end of the year and she has not taught them anything that will help them with that exam. All we as parents hear is that it is good for our kids to take an AP class because if they are able to pass the AP exam at the end of the year then they will receive college credit for that class. Does it not seem like there would at least be some kind of text books the students would need? When she gives them homework she just tells them to Google it or find out the answer from a class mate. Now how would anyone know the answers because it is obvious she is not teaching them? She also calls them retarded and we do not appreciate that. When came home and told us about her pre writing the whole class up that was the last straw. Also was assigned to be the teacher that day. She did not even give him any material to teach with. I guess since she doesn’t use any material to teach with she thinks the students don’t need any. We are aware of Mrs. Coleman coming into the class on Friday and observing and we hope that changes will be made soon. email to you goes into more detail about the class and we are aware of all of it. We expect changes to be made in this situation and if you cannot fix things we will go to the board. Also, we will be watching grades. We do not expect her to give him a bad grade because we have complained but we will be watching.

Sincerely,

One term that I came across that I did not know was vetted. After researching the word I found that it meant, “investigate (someone) thoroughly, especially in order to ensure that they are suitable for a job requiring secrecy, loyalty, or trustworthiness” as defined by Dictionary.com. This gave me a better understanding of how Liberia decided that their commissioners appointed would be decided by a broad selection panel to ensure that the committee members agreed that the person was fit for the job.…

1.1-My Husband has helped me in the past. They are easy going, honest and positive. I find that I am positive in most areas of my life but need to work on the honesty and finding ways to relieve stress to be more care free and not worry so much. I would need to find things that calm me down and I feel is relaxing. I also need to work on honesty with myself first. Once I can quite lying to myself then I can quite lying to others, which then I’m not having to cover a lie with another lie.…

I don’t like the parents reaction in the Beth B case. While I agree and understand the parents want Beth to stay in the regular classroom as she has for the last three years, another facility offsite would perform a much better job meeting the needs that Beth requires. In the current situation at the 7th grade level, school officials claim that Beth follows along with the class using a modified curriculum. While Beth may be folowing the same subject matter that the class is learning, there is no relationship between what the class is learning to what Beth is learning. They are on two completely different levels.…

In the speech this teacher gives to her class' parents, sensitivity is demonstrated in a few different ways. She included several handouts of the classroom rules, and things to be expected of the students; even including information from the state education office and the national standards for Social Studies. The teacher provided email access to her, as well as instructions to get to the school's website and access how to email the teacher. The teacher took into consideration that many parents work during school hours, so she has one day a week set aside to to answer any question sand concerns until 8pm, and a calendar of the days in which she will be available. However, there are still many things this teacher overlooked.…

It’s important to give a little background on the writer’s history. This is the end of my fourth year as an English teacher at Napavine Jr. Sr. High School. During my time here I have also served as the ASB advisor and as a class advisor. I transferred to Napavine because it is a small school and closer to my home. From 2004-2012, I was at a 2A high school with a population of 1,088 (grades 9-12), 56.2% low income, and a 32.9% minority population. Napavine is a 2B school with a population of 325 (grades 7-12), 39% low income and a 16.8% minority population . The principal, with whom I will be working, began as a Dean of Students during my first year in the building. He did not have his administrative credentials and worked with a mentor on…

Purpose – The purpose of the present paper is to advance a testable model, rooted on well-established control and self-regulation theory principles, explaining the causal links between change-related sensemaking, interpretation, readiness and subsequent behavioural action. Design/methodology/approach – Following a review of the two motivation theories and clarification of change-related sensemaking, interpretation, and readiness concepts, the paper proposes a series of research propositions (illustrated by a conceptual model) clarifying how these concepts interact with self-regulating mechanisms. In addition, the feedback model exemplifies how cognitive processes triggered by new knowledge structures relate to behavioural action. Findings – The model expands upon other existing frameworks by allowing the examination of multi-level factors that account for, and moderate causal links between, change-related sensemaking, interpretation, readiness, and behavioural action. Suggestions for future research and guidelines for practice are outlined. Practical implications – The variables and processes depicted in the model provide guidelines for change management in organisations, both for individuals and for groups. By eliciting important self-regulating functions, change agents will likely facilitate sensemaking processes, positive interpretations of change, change readiness, and effective change behaviours. Originality/value – This paper makes two contributions to the literature. First, it offers a comprehensive and dynamic account of the relationships between change-related sensemaking, interpretation, readiness, and behavioural action decision-making. Second, it elucidates the impact of human agency properties, namely the interplay of efficacy perceptions, social learning, and self-regulating mechanisms on these change-related cognitive processes and subsequent behavioural outcomes. Keywords Self-regulation theory, Sensemaking, Interpretation, Readiness, Transformational…

Presentation is the practice of showing and explaining the content of a topic to an audience. Presentations come in nearly as many forms as there are life situations. In the business world, there are sales presentations, informational and motivational presentations, first encounters, interviews, briefings, status reports, image-building, and of course, the inevitable training sessions as what we had to do at the foundations of business knowledge class. Presentation is a way of communicating ideas and information to a group. And it carries the speaker's personality better and allows immediate interaction between all the participants.…
