It seemed like an ordinary day. Everything seemed to be going well, but little did I know something terrible was going to happen. I gazed through window which seemed to me that it was going to be a bright, sunny day. As hours passed, it got darker, cloudier, and windy. It was my parent’s anniversary that day. They went to go to dinner around 6pm and left me home with the babysitter. I hated my babysitter with every ounce of my being. She puts on a fake smile and pretends we’re going to have a good time with my parents, but by the time my parents leave, she transfigures to an evil witch. This wasn’t the first time I’ve been left with her before so I already knew my routine. Just go up to my room and stay there. Around 8:30, she’ll bring me dinner, and then at 10 I was to be in bed asleep. My parents kissed me on the cheek, hugged me tightly and said there goodbyes. It was the last time I was ever going to see them again. Angel is my babysitter’s name even though she was nowhere near close to being angelic. In my opinion, she was the opposite of an angel more like a demon to me. She gave me the stare which was my cue to go upstairs. I looked into her cold, dark eyes and slowly made my way up the stairs. Once I got into my room, I jumped into my bed and laid there. I picked up the remote and started watching TV. I flipped through the channels hopelessly to find one show that would keep me entertained for the time being. No luck so I had to watch the boring channel where ladies showcase their jewelry. I could sense myself slowly drifting in and out. Then I knocked out. I was awoken by a loud sound. I pondered for a moment thinking it’s nothing bad. Then there was the sound again except gotten louder and more alarming. I went down stairs. “What are you doing out of your room, Missy?” Angel said. “Didn’t you hear that sound?” I asked. She rolled her eyes at me. I took a deep breath and signed. “Look here stupid brat,
