INTRODUCTION
With reference ‘Coca-Cola and Procter and Gamble Lead the way into the New Advertising Era of SocialTV...A Money Machine’ published in Forbes.com on 6th December 2012 has been chosen to be the story for news analysis. Titled as ‘The new Social Media channel’ for MN2061K’s assignment summarizes what the selected news article is all about. Through the detailed steps stated in each task, completion of the marketing news analysis report can be done in the given time frame. 1. Time plan
In preparation for the marketing news analysis for MN2061K, three tasks were assigned to practice and understand the importance of time management for future project deadlines. The deadlines for the three tasks are as follows:
Task 1: 6th June, 2013
Task 2: 27th June, 2013
Task 3: 4th July, 2013
As taught in Topic 2 Time Management, it is recommended to complete any given projects a few days before the deadlines to ensure that sufficient time is allocated if any issue arises.
As shown above in the time plan for the three tasks, more time is allocated to the outline of the essay, as this is the frame of the analysis; and acts as a guide to produce the actual essay. Sourcing for materials related to the selected topic for the moldue is vital. In Task 2, it ensures that the articles pass ‘REVIEW’ criteria test and qualifies for in depth engagement with the selected marketing news article. Task 1 is equally important for it provides a good start together with a detailed time plan and outline of the planning process to be followed closely. However, lesser preparatory work is needed as compared to other tasks. 2. Planning process in outline: Four steps
