I asked each interviewee about the theory of change for their program models. I had to explain to them what a theory of change was and then I did my best to give examples so that they would understand the difference between a theory of change and a logic model. Since there was no defined universal program model for Pioneer Trail Middle School (or the Olathe School District in general) there were also no alternative models addressed in any written materials. Interviews. All of the people who were interviewed had a difficult time coming up with applicable program models for their practice. Not one interviewee was able to name an alternative model they have heard being used at Pioneer Trail Middle School or in the Olathe Public School District.
Relevant literature. Peer reviewed literature lists many different applicable program models for school social work. Due to the fact that Pioneer Trail Middle School does not have a defined program model I utilized the “relevant literature” sub-section of the “model definition” section to address the program models suggested for school social work.
Data analysis. Given the fact that there is no written or verbal material regarding additional program models at Pioneer Trail Middle school a data analysis would be impossible to do. Relevant literature regarding models sets forth a universal practice model, examined in the program model section of this paper.
