Ms. Wright feels her principal has the same expectations as that of a campus administrator on a traditional campus. However, an area that Ms. Wright feels her principal does not fully understand is the at risk student and the differences or challenges that teachers need to make to get the students to let their guard down, so teachers can properly serve them. Ms. Wright points out that her principal is an experienced principal, but this is his first year leading an alternative campus. The principal shows love and concern for the students but does not understand the different challenges that at risk student face on a daily basis. I believe that greatness is within all of us; we just need a little help finding it sometimes. I have come to understand that one caring person can make all the difference in someone else’s life. As I venture further into my teaching career, I hope to help my students to Education is a journey of seeking answers and experiencing. Every human being has the ability to learn and apply meaning to education. Learners should not be encouraged to surrender to the ideals and beliefs of a set curriculum. Rather than settling for the minimum learning requirements written out based on the expectations of the state, students should encounter knowledge, build a solid structured foundation, and then branch out to master the skills and ideas that they wish to develop and pursue. Learning then becomes a map of the sea. Students may be influenced by the way the wind blows and the tossing of the waves, but they have the knowledge and ability to adjust their sails to follow the path of the desired horizon. As educators we should not be neutral in our teaching, but radical and dynamic so that our students can learn beyond what is normal, static, and unchanging. The purpose of this experience was to observe a middle school. The purpose of the assignment was to determine the ways in which the middle school worked to meet the needs of the unique middle school learners. The middle school I visited was very effective in meeting the needs of middle schoolers. The school has interdisplinary teams who worked together to create instruction and help to offer the best learning opportunities for their students. The teachers gave excellent and effective lessons that motivated students. The classrooms were also student centered and accounted for different learning styles in the classroom.…
In conclusion, I persuade you, administrators, to establish a good relationship not only with the children and parents, but also with the community and workers. In order to be an effective middle school educator, it is imperative to understand the developmental complexity of young adolescents. Students aged ten to fifteen experience irregular personal changes that call for certain needs. Not only are students at this age diverse in their backgrounds, but also they are also diverse in their development.
