School Uniforms

75% of kids/teenagers are bullied every day, for what they look like or how they act. This must Stop. Instead of letting innocent kids be bullied everyday, our country is for school uniforms. A wise man once said, “if it means teenagers will stop killing each other over designer jackets, then our public schools should be able to require their students to wear school uniforms (debate.org) said from our former president. President Clinton when he provided the momentum to the school uniform movement in 1996. One of the main reasons is too many people get judged in this school for what they wear, what they look like and how they act. Statistics state 10 out of 4 kids are bullied in just the United States Alone. In a recent study 77%of the students said they had been bullied and 14% of those who were bullied said they experienced severe reactions to the abuse. Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris were bullied in school. People picked on them a lot for not fitting into the right crowd. They got mentally and physically abused that they couldn’t handle it anymore. April 20,1999 two boys who had big hearts turned toward the dark side. They walked in the columbine high school with open fire and started shooting randomly. 15 people died and 24 wounded. To this day we will never forget the impact that our lives and so many others. Bulling led them to the further decisions they had made. School uniforms could be a huge benefit to society by not judging because everyone wearing the same thing. 21 states are now officially requiring school uniforms. The Pro’s and Con’s are like a presidential debate by going back and forth between what right or wrong, it will always be 50/50 on whether people want to war them or not.
