I am taking both and I can see the difference with what is being taught in class. In a school based English class, teachers have a curriculum to follow and they try to get as much done before the school year is up. They have to get the students through several assigned books as well as get them where they are supposed to be. She noticed right off the bat that we aren’t writing like we are suppose to. In order to fix that and continue on with what the curriculum requires, she assigns us many tasks to do. Even though I hate the amount of work that is given, I am grateful for her in doing so. My writing skills have increased over the year. It is how the teacher takes the curriculum in order to include what is needed. In my college based english class, my teacher is the one that wrote the curriculum so she can change it as she sees fit.
