What is sciatica? It is the pain which affects the hip, back, leg and is produced by a pinched nerve root present in the lower back. This extremely painful condition may also be caused by deterioration of a bone. There are numerous reasons which can trigger sciatica which is no doubt quite traumatic and hurting. Some of the other common causes for sciatica are Spinal stenosis, Degenerative disc disease, not exercising regularly, Spondylolisthesis and sleeping on soft mattress. The symptoms which are associated with sciatica pain are weakness, itching sensation around the leg area, trouble in moving the foot, numbness and problem in standing up.
