World Science and Technology founded by the Standard Curriculum for Primary, KSSR is being taught in primary one. It is approach that consists of combination of elements science, design and technology, and information and Communication Technology.
World of science and technology aims to foster interest in science and technology, develop creativity and innovation students through experience and investigation to master science and technology, skills thinking scientific values. The approach is to make teaching and learning more attractive.
Nowadays, the widespread adoption of smart phone and information technologies has integrated and affected our daily life unconsciously. Children especially, followed their parents and people surrounding, learned and mastered the used of smart phones and tablets with astonishing speed. This phenomenon was very good as it shows that children nowadays could adapt to new technologies and mobile devices faster and easier.
(Dwiana & Singh, 2011) stated “Multimedia Interactive technology in teaching process is crucial for meaningful learning.” In addition, using multimedia elements that involve senses such as audio, video, graphics, text and animation into a single communication for could help to attract the students.
Thus, this project is designed to benefits and enhancing their skills in learning in science and technology following the syllabus provided by Ministry of Education Malaysia through mobile based educational application.
This project is about to design an Android Based mobile application for the purpose of learning science and technology for primary one which can be enhanced by adding functionality and attractive multimedia to get better assist (Wahab, Osman, & Ismail, 2010). Multimedia elements such as text, graphics, and audio will be including in interface design in order to attract the intension of students, so that they can learn faster and effectively.
Fun and interactive learning
