The theme of the novel was shown when Albus admitted that it all could have gone wrong if Scorpius was not there.
“And why was I so determined to do this? Cedric? Really? No. I had something to prove. My dad’s right --- he didn’t volunteer for adventure --- me, this, it’s all my fault --- and if it wasn’t for you everything could have gone Dark.”(Rowling 212)

wrong. Therefore this shows that Albus and Scorpius have a good friendship.
The theme of the novel is friendship. Albus and Scorpius became friends on the train to Hogwarts. They stay friends throughout the book. When Delphi, the antagonist, threatened to kill Scorpius if Albus did not do what she wanted, Scorpius told Albus to not listen to her, but Albus would not let her kill his friend so he went along with Delphi’s plan. Albus knew Scorpius would have done the same for him. This leads into the climax of the book.
The author described the climax of this book by putting it into a battle scene. Albus and his father were fighting Delphi in Godric’s Hollow. “He moves to attack her again.”(Rowing 290) Harry was locked in a room alone fighting Delphi, but albus crawled through a vent in the floor to get into the same room and help his dad fight.
Scorpius has the personality of a caring person.
Whenever Scorpius did anything, it was almost always for someone else and not himself. “Your better. You're my best friend, Albus. And this is mayhem to the nth degree. Which is great, thumbs-up great, it’s just --- I have got to say --- I don’t mind admitting --- I am a tiny bit --- just a tiny bit scared.”(Rowling 105) This shows that Scorpius cares for Albus. He even helped Albus and his dad fight Delphi in Godric’s Hollow.
To Harry, Godric's hollow is an important setting. His parents were killed in Godric’s Hollow. “Young Harry stands looking at a gravestone covered in bunches of flowers.”(Rowling 205) His parents grave is in Godric’s hollow. He visits his parents grave and puts flowers on it every year.
I would recommend this to an older audience. It has some parts that are not appropriate for kids. “Snape is pulled hard to the ground and then pushed high into the air as his soul is ripped from him.”(Rowling 195) I would rate this book an 8 because it has a lot of action but there were some boring parts. “The Trolley Witch's hands transfigure into very sharp spikes.” Overall it was a great novel and was very
interesting.
