Greed is the main theme of this stave. It is because Scrooge is the main character and he is the most greedy person you will meet. Scrooge runs a business and he does not pay for anything. He doesn’t pay for light or heat . He does not give any money and just keeps it all to himself. Main part of stave one is Marley trying to tell scrooge to not be greedy or he will have a terrible life and afterlife.
Stave Two- Regret
Regret is the main theme of stave two. The ghost of Christmas past comes and shows scrooge where he used to live and his childhood life. Then the ghost showed him his old mentor and how the women left him because he was greedy and only cared about his money. It made him very sad and he regretted it.

The ghost of Christmas present takes him to Bob’s house and shows him their Christmas. The turmoil is when Scrooge is confused about how he doesn’t want tiny Tim to die. Then there family thanked scrooge and he was very confused. Then he was showed how poor some people are and didn’t like them that way and was wondering why they were like that. Then he was at his nephew's party and he was still grateful of scrooge.
Stave 4- Fear Fear is the main theme of this stave. Scrooge was taken to a place where people were happy about someone's death and he was angry at them and the had is stuff but he was to afraid to admit that it was him that died. Then it took him to a grave and saw that it was him and was so afraid. He begged for mercy.
Stave 5- Generosity
The main theme of stave five is generosity. It is generosity because when he wakes up first he pays a boy a lot of money and buys the prize goose and has the man deliver it to Bobs house. Then he gives even more to the people who collect money for the poor. Then one his way to work he gives money to the carolers.
