Seek Refuge Persuasive Speech
Finding refuge is important to many individuals. What is more important is where do they find it? Relationships, one of the best way someone may find or seek refuge. When seeking for help from a good/best friend or family member they have a better chance of getting help than anyone else. What if that certain individual didn’t want or they couldn’t find help? Finding a good place to go to is also a great idea. Having a place to hide from reality is important. Sometimes hiding from one another can bring self-peace to them, this is important. It is important because maybe they’re trying to hide from a certain individual or they might stress on explaining what’s happening. The importance of finding a family member or a friend is great because those things are two important places to seek refuge.

“‘As long as I can remember,’Daratanyon said I’ve been carrying him from point A to B to C. Graduation was the first time I finally got to walk beside him,” (Rinaldi). Like Chris McCandless and his sister Carine McCandless, Dartanyon Crockett and Leroy Sutton’s friendship is strong. Crockett and Sutton both developed a relationship of friendship that is also being used with McCandless and his sister. “‘Anyway, I like to talk to you about this because you are the only person in the world who could possibly understand what I’m saying,’”(Krakauer 129). In their relationship, they both developed their way of speaking to each other and understanding of what they are saying. Understanding one another is important because if an individual was having trouble explaining themselves then they would understand what they might be saying or how they feel.     PTSD or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is a psychiatric disorder that can occur following the experience or witnessing of life-threatening events such as the military combat, natural disasters, terrorism incidents, or any major tragedy. This is common in the life of veterans and is the leading cause of suicide among veterans. A VA patient who survived in Baghdad shares his experience with PTSD and explains how he knew he had this disability. Many veterans speak out about this issue and describe their continuous anger, alcohol addiction, and constantly wanted to fight. They usually feel very isolated and distant from their loved ones.
