The E.Y. F emphasises a personal & individual approach to learning, this is because all children develop at their own rate and learn in different ways, come from different backgrounds whether social or religious & therefore have different needs and interests. Emotionally children come in different packages, some children may seem independent and confident and you may be misled into thinking that they don’t need as much attention as the children who express their emotions regularly and via for your attention on a regular basis. This assumption would be incorrect all children should be giving your individual attention, how else can we plan appropriately for their needs and interests.…
Children`s learning and development has been influenced greatly by a wide range of psychologists over the years, who have conducted a range of research methods such as observation, experiments and interviews. 2 . Explain the importance of observing and analysing children’s and young people’s play. Through observing a child, it helps you to understand and be aware of the child’s interests and levels of capability as well as engaging and stimulating program curriculum. Every practitioner should analyse observations they make of children so they can identify strengths and weaknesses and how far the child has developed. By doing this, practitioners can see where a child requires support and can plan out activities to further develop a child’s needs and are able to make relevant referrals if external support is needed. Observing is also known as a fundamental part of the EYFS, where practitioners are expected to observe children and make notes which helps to keep a record of each child’s progress through the EYFS and enables practioners to plan ahead on areas of learning that need to be more focused upon.…

One of the two categories of play discussed by Hopperstad is play with the graphic results of drawing which refers to the results of a drawing where the child interacts and convert a way to process the whole stage of visual. Also, this play provides the opportunity to put together the possible relationships between visual graphic and the transformation. Furthermore, children are expose to everyday life situations where they can perform activities of drawing relating to them. Also, children communicate by using their vocabulary in terms explaining their self’s way of seeing information. For example, when the children see their classmate drawing they can classified it as fantasy of reality and can decide to play along with whatever situation…
I also have to write observations on adult play, child play, guided groups and lessons. I am able to write any concerns or achievements. The observation sheets are age banded and you are able to write the next steps to follow, so you can have the child develop in all areas. These are added to their learning journeys, here you can see if there are any causes for concern and if the child is at the expected level of development for their age.…

We observe that we can recognize children’s and young people’s skills and abilities and identify their needs. This will make planning for their future development much more specific to the individual need. ‘Observation is more than just watching; you are also noticing and thinking at the same time ‘…
We can effectively plan the development of a child by taking his ideas of ‘schemas’ into practice and using Piaget’s stages we can assess where and how a child is currently learning. From assessment it becomes possible to plan activities to help them to develop onto the next stage.…
The activity was set as a whole class activity so that the children could work together as a group in order to produce images and descriptions of their favourite places. It helped that the lower ability children could work alongside a higher-ability pupil in order to share ideas and to discuss what they were doing. I found that some children were more interested in colouring the pictures and not working to complete all of the task. Therefore, it was beneficial to stop the children to remind them of what I expected. I also found that too many children were round a certain table at once as they all wanted to complete the same areas first. To improve on this, I would consider making the children sit down at a table and complete their drawings/explanations on a post-it note which could be stuck onto the paper at the end of the…
