The purpose of this report is to define, self-management and self-motivation. This essay is about the importance of self-motivation and self-management in my studies. Motivation is one of the factors that cause, channel, and sustain an individual’s behaviour (Stoner,2006) While management is the process of planning, leading, and controlling the work of organization members and of using all available organizational resources to reach stated organizational goals (Stoner, 2006). Self-motivation is important because it helps us to achieve goals that we have set for ourselves and it also will help us to know what are our strengths as well as our weaknesses. I will motivate myself throughout year one of my degree by having a new hobby which is reading.
