Service Learning Experience Analysis

Service learning experience is an educational involvement where by aiding their community students are able to grow in knowledge as well as in personal view. It is essential to understand that by serving the community, it can create a positive change in The Rio Grande Valley. By doing my service learning at The Gladys Porter Zoo I view the importance of how even a simple task will make a positive difference. I can mention that what I did was out of comparison to what is done in the whole zoo. If I have not put in practice what I learned maybe the kid who was having a party at the zoo will not have goodie bags and the animals will not be able to be in exposition. If the animals were not prepared the party was not going to be performed. If the
kids do not have goodie bags they will not be able to feel the excitement of being in a party. If they do not get excited either because they do not see any animal they won’t talk about how great the zoo is. If kids do not talk about how great the zoo is they won’t spread the knowledge that they can acquire from the zoo. If the knowledge is not spread the world will continue as how it is today and will keep getting worse. Just by doing goodie bags will make a positive difference. This opportunity to serve the community could be known as the power of giving back, once you do something good it will be back twice as better. It is very important to serve the community, especially the Rio Grande Valley community. Not because some teacher require me to do it, it is important because one can learn new stuff every day in everywhere.
