Session Long Project Reflection Paper
This week, we’ve been asked to evaluate the program presented in Session Long Project (SLP) from module 2. First, I will remind you of the program that was presented. As I have said in previous module, teenage pregnancy has plagued my family for generations. If an opporuntiy to organize a community program presented its self, I would consentrate on reducing and preventing the number of teenage pregnancy in low income neighborhoods. I believe that with education, proper resources and active participation from parents and teenager from both genders, unplanned pregnancy is preventable. In the previous SLP, we identified goals, objective, and activities that could be used to change unhealthy behavior; in this week’s assignment, will discuss tools that can be used to evaluate the program, and state …show more content…

2. What are we learning from the evaluation?
3. How will we use the information to make our efforts more effective” (CDC, 2011)? Addtionally, it is important that we also note the six neccassary steps for conducting successful program evaluation:
1. Engage Stakeholders- Engage implementors, decision-makers and recipients early in the process. This will be imstrumental in establishing common goal and objectives for the evaluation (NWCPHP, 2017).
2. Describe the Program- In this step, the purpose of the program is discussed and the above mentioned questions are answered (NWCPHP,2017).
3. Focus Evaluation Design- This is the step where you will focus on the direction of you evaluation, what are you measuring, program outcomes or achievmennts (NWCPHP,2017).
4. Gaither Credible Evidence- In this step, you are measuring the quantity and quality of your program. This imforamtion is gathered through focus groups, surveys and observations (NWCPHP,2017).
5. Draw Conclusion- At this point, you will compare data gathered, with goals set in step one and answer the question; Are we getting better, staying the same, or getting worst
