Abstract This paper presents a clear definition of sexual abuse, pinpoints vulnerable conditions for somebody to become a victim of it, as well as finds relation between abusers/offenders and victims; this paper explains some factors of sexual abuse and its longer-term effects and also outlines phases for recovery.
Introduction Sexual abuse can be of different forms and in different conditions. Sexual abuse is defined as the engage of a person in sexual activities that he or she does not understand, to which he or she can 't give consent for many reasons as age or disabilities, such types of abuse occurs in different ways, and it is important for parents and caretakers to be vigilant of symptoms that can be a sign of sexual or any type of abuse. Knowing that not necessarily we will find physical evidence since sexual abuse can be physical, verbal, or emotional. Many people are vulnerable to sexual abuse. And even when huge efforts need to concentrate on prevention, we can’t deny it is an actual big problem in society since some statistics show that as many as one out of every four children will be a victim of sexual abuse. Usually abuse gradually increases over time, use of force or violence is not always needed since abuse happens most to people who are trusting and dependent; and sometimes victims don’t resist the abuse because of fear or to gain love and approval.
Sexual Abuse Definition Sexual abuse is a term generally used to refer to inappropriate sexual conduct on a child, but it is also appropriately used when this sexual conduct is done on others in vulnerable conditions.
