Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone Analysis
China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone was launched on September 29, 2013. It is being used as China’s experiment field to test policies for economic and social reforms. The main characteristics of the free trade zone are its open market, freedom from the majority of the tariffs and its liberal investment policies. It was established as a solution to the slowdown in China’s economy and increasing concerns about the rising debt of the country.
