When Amber is born, her knows right away that she is special. When Amber is about 3 her mom,Dara, figures out that there is something weird about her daughter. Dara also knows that her husband, Tom, has been keeping a big secret from her. After her mom figures it out, Amber has to spend a lot of time at her grandparents house. After awhile of going there everyday,
Amber figures out that her grandpa and grandma know about her powers. Every day, while she is there, she learns more about her powers from her grandparents. Amber keeps on growing and eventually finds friends to hang out with. Later in her life, Amber gets betrayed by one she loves. She has to find a way to get to safety before "they" get her.
Amber was born to Tom and Dara Grey. She has an older sister, Anna, and a younger brother, Alex. Her grandparents, Roland and Julia, are her dad's parents. Some secondary characters are Colton, Bethany, and Frederick, who are all friends of Amber and her sister.
I think that there are many themes to this book. One could be that we're all special in some way. Another could be that we all either have to fix our problems or just deal with them.
