In the second place, the thieves put a valuable jewel in a goose. The goose a tag on the leg that reads “For Henry Baker”. Along with the goose there was a tattered hat that was found last night of a gang of ruffians attack someone last night and the hat belongs

Several elements of the confession did not match up. Such as the timing, the place, and how they were killed. All of these were extremely influential elements that should have been considered, but they were not. The police continued to guide Jessie until the testimony was closer to accurate. Jessie Misskelley’s confession was not obtained ethically by any standard, yet it was still used at trial to put away three teenage boys for a great majority of their lives.…

Imagine stuffing a carbuncle down a striped goose and a few days later someone else takes the same goose with the same stripe on the back! Both a stole the goose and the jewel. Will the other person go to jail? Or will you get arrested and go to jail? Will the detective set them free? Yes! Sherlock Holmes sets both free! But for stealing a jewel and a goose? In my opinion, Sherlock Holmes positively made the wrong decision by letting Ryder and Catharine free. That means, Sherlock Holmes also broke the law! Sherlock should have never let them go, because no one never knows if Ryder and Catharine will commit another crime or not. If Ryder and Catharine do commit a crime again, then the siblings might do something ever bigger than before!…

The protagonist is in a parlous predicament, where he is surrounded by four men in the printing shop. Upon the arrival of the newcomer, he believes that he may be able to subdue the threat of the men by asking him for assistance and using the newcomer’s presence as a distraction. However, he prompts the newcomer to call the police, and the newcomer replies “‘Yes! Yes!’[...] - and in the blurred sound of the ‘s’ there was evidence of foreign birth. Keyed up as [the protagonist] was, [he] didn't need any more warning than that”(Hammett 368).The protagonist realizes that the newcomer is Hendrik Van Pelt, who is an associate of the men in the printing shop. It registers in his mind that the newcomer is also a potential threat. Subsequently, he is able to dodge the incoming attack from Van Pelt, and it is through Van Pelt’s actions that the detective is able to confirm that Van Pelt is indeed involved in the hit and run case, and associated with the men in the printing shop. First point that should be considered is that a criminal is bad citizen who is out to eliminate the state and demoralize its character. Having criminals behind bars is no safe net for the victims who may have survived an ordeal. It is often painted that a criminal behind bars is up for rehabilitation but such is not the case, as some criminals behind bars simply like the feeling that they are behind bars for a gruesome act of murder. Some may argue that justice is best served when the criminal remains behind bars, but the opportunity for escape or a future release still lingers.…

Accident like in the story about Steve Avery on “Making A Murder” he was in jail for 18 years for a crime that he did not committed and the police arrest him again for the crime of killing Teresa Halbach because they found evidence on Steve’s house, and I really think that they arrest him too just because the evidence and because he had a criminal…

Now walking in the bright July sunshine, he felt sure that this year’s robbery was going to be as successful as all the others. For two weeks he had been studying the house at Shotover Grange, looking at its rooms, its electric wiring, its paths, and its garden. This afternoon the two servants remained in the Grange while the family was in London, had gone to the movies. Horace saw them go, and he felt happy spite of a little tickle of hay fever in his nose. He came out from behind the garden wall, his tools carefully packed in a bag on back.…
