Should School Uniforms Be Paid?
Imagine turning on the news and not seeing a new story about school violence. Imagine not watching a breaking news about an intruder breaking into a school and shooting innocent students. Imagine not having to worry about what to wear each day to school. All of these things could quite possibly happen if school uniforms were to be enforced. Although some do not think requiring uniforms can solve this problem, school uniforms can be beneficial in many ways. All public schools should require their students to wear uniforms.

The uniform option would be less expensive, because some local stores have special discounts(Palka NP). Around the time school is starting back, there are a lot of stores that give discounts on school uniforms. This helps the families save money. It would save families a ton of money is schools would ban brands, labels, or insignia for school uniforms(Wilkins 19). Most kids when school comes around want to go back to school clothe shopping. Kids feel the need to buy what everybody else is wearing and sometimes that can get expensive. President Clinton addressed this problem, "If it means that teenagers will stop killing each other over designer jackets, then our public schools should be able to require their students to wear uniforms"(Wilkins 19). Having school uniforms that require a certain brand and or banning students from wearing brands would solve this problem. Some families are not wealthy enough to buy their kids new clothes or even school uniforms. Most schools(who require uniforms) provide uniforms to the families who are not as wealthy as others(Uniforms Rule”72).
