Social media has made an effect on the modern world together. Some people consider social media to have a very negative impact on people, especially our younger generation, causing inappropriate language being used. It is a topic that divides an opinion. People say social media is an amazing tool, but others worry about the impact it has on lives.

Here are some reasons why you should not ban social media. During the royal wedding, a lot of people went crazy. There were people trending all across the world about it. Thousands of people around the world were able to share one special moment. In a local article is has been proven that ‘more than 300 tweets per second’ were filling the well branched website, Twitter. Also on Facebook there were ’74 status updates per second.’ This has shown that there were millions of viewers watching the royal wedding. The royal wedding was a special, yet memorable moment it has been shared through social media. In addition to that many people knew about the wedding through social media. If we did not have social media, not that many people would have known about the wedding. Not everyone has a TV so that’s where social media comes into recognition.

Whoever wanted to watch Prince William and Kate Middleton’s big day could watch it on a live stream through YouTube. ‘Google was expecting 400 million views.’ Google is a massive piece of media. Many people watched the live stream on YouTube. The royal wedding got more views that Barak Obama’s inauguration in 2009. 70 million people online viewed his inauguration itself! 2 billion people worldwide watched the royal wedding. There was a massive frenzy.

A 14 year old killed herself after getting bullied on a site called, ask.fm. After her death her father made a Facebook page on her behalf. ‘This page has nearly 30,000 likes.’ This shows that many people support her dad for his loss. Mr Smith has asked people to sign an e-petition to introduce
