With the use of vaccines on all people, there is a possibility of a disease being eradicated or being held back, which can impact the world in a huge way. Many diseases that don't occur in the United States occur in other parts of the world and so since people travel often, it is important that they vaccinate for these diseases. It is also important for people in the States to vaccinate, because the disease could be brought home. One vaccine that will never not be relevant is Tetanus, because it is not spread from human to human ("The Benefits of Vaccination Outweigh the Risks." Tennessee Electronic Library, Gale,). Children are more protected from diseases now than they ever have been. Certain diseases that once would have hurt or even killed many children have been completely taken out or brought close to extinction by vaccines which are effective and safe. Many of the diseases of the past world that killed and disabled people have been either endangered or destroyed due to vaccination. Since the 1970s the number of children that are diagnosed by autism have increased a large amount. Around 2002 the numbers for the amount of kids diagnosed was about 1 in 150 it is now around 1 in 100. In the 1970s this number was more around 1 in 10,000. Which these numbers it shows that something in the environment has changed it is not possible that there was a genetic epidemic. It is also not likely that in the 1990s something happened to start it. Thousands of cases have been reported by parents of where their children have stopped talking, have developmental regressed and eventually got diagnosed with autism after have a vaccination. Rates of autism have been rising and so have the amount of vaccines given, and vaccines are seen as possibly causing brain damage so the link between Autism and vaccines might not be far off. In the US up until 1989 children received 10 shots by the time they had reached there. In the present day children receive 36 vaccinations by the time they reach their 5th birthday. At the two month appointment children can receive about 6 different immunization in the span of 15 minutes.
