So, obviously, both the idols and God have some sort of power. Yes, the Christian God has more power than the idols, but they still were/are believed to have some degree of it. The Christian God controls everything, while each of the idols only control one or two things. A second similarity could be the fact that they both have holy writings. For the Christian God you could use the bible (or for this paper, the Pentateuch) and for the Egyptian idols you could use the “Book of the Dead” or pretty much any other sacred writings they made (like the pyramid writings). One final example is the idea of sacrifices. They both accept blood sacrifices, as well as stuff like treasure (Instead of treasure Christians tithe and fast). Now, for the the Christian God it gets a bit tricky. In the old testament, they seem to give blood sacrifices the most. In Geneses alone, Able sacrifices some sheep, and Abraham sacrifices a Ram after almost sacrificing his own child! And i’m sure Noah did some too. Back on track, another sacrifice I mean similarity is oh wait I already listed three tee hee. Well I guess since I mentioned it I may as well say it. They both had chosen people. The Christian God selected the Israelites to be his chosen people, while the Egyptian idols chose the Egyptians to be their chosen
