Afghanistan and Iran are two neighbor countries located in south-central Asia. Through the history, these two countries have been part of each other or ruled by the same empire. Since the end of the eighteenth century, both countries have been officially recognized as independent territories. In fact, both countries share a lot in common. For instance, Persian is the official language of Iran. Likewise, Dari (Aryan native Persian dialect) is also an official language of Afghanistan. Moreover, they are both Islamic countries. Since Afghanistan has been suffered from civil war, it is widely depended on the aids of donor countries. UNHCR (United Nation High Commissioner for Refugee) and WFP (World Food Program) which are supported by the USA, are the dominant examples of foreign aids for Afghanistan; nevertheless, they are not sufficiently accountable for all the basic needs of Afghan people. Unlike Afghanistan, Iran is a completely independent country in terms of its internal economy. Despite one decade of the embargo by superpower countries, Iran has successfully controlled the embargo by focusing on internal production such as agricultural products including fruits, cereals, basic food substances, and industrial products such as electronics, and construction materials. Additionally, Iran is highly exporting these products to neighbor countries, whereas Afghanistan is a purchaser of Iranian products. Dissimilar to Iran, Afghanistan is highly importing basic food substances, construction materials, and industrial products from other countries. The major exports of Afghanistan consist of dried fruits, Fresh fruit, crafts, carpets and Karakul skin, which does not influence widely over the general economy of Afghanistan. As we all know, since Afghanistan has been struggling with civil war, Mujahedin war, and terrorist groups such as Taliban, it has been known as one of the most insecure countries in the world. Afghan people always witness many grievous consequences of terrifying activities such as bomb blasts and massacres, especially in southern provinces like Helmand and Kandahar which even traveling to these provinces is impossible. Moreover, the national army of Afghanistan is dominantly depended on the foreign military supports like soldiers and weapons. For instance, NATO operational military force which consists of the soldiers from 26 different countries, has been operating in the most dangerous areas of Afghanistan since 2004. In contrast, Iran has an independent army equipped with professional weapons. Iran is neither afflicted with terrorism nor does with civil war. Compared to Afghanistan, Iran has stability in security. Furthermore, it has a very restricted policy to address and respond to the crisis and crimes, while most of the times the security forces in Afghanistan fail to respond to the crimes due to corruption and lack of skills.
