Similarities Between American And French Revolution

The American and French revolutions both not only affected their own countries, but the whole world. Many other countries and colonies drew inspiration from these revolutions, especially in South America. There were a series of revolutions in South America of different colonies wanting to gain independence from Spain and France. One of these revolutions occurred in Venezuela. The Venezuelan Revolution was very inspired by the events that took place during the American Revolution. During this revolution, the Venezuelan Declaration of Independence was written in order for Spain to recognize their independence, which had similarities to the American Declaration of Independence, as well as some documents that were written during the French Revolution.
