As a child Malcolm grew up in Lansing, Michigan. Malcolm was seen as a troubled kid when he was younger because of his attitude and his response to discipline. When Gandhi was nineteen he was very close to not passing his matriculation exam, he then decided to visit Britain where he later became a lawyer or as he called it, a barrister. There he met some people that persuaded him to look more in depth at the Hindu text and scriptures. As he did this he became more fascinated with the hindu religion but also with many other religions such as Jesus and christianity. After he had passed the bar test making him a legal Lawyer he came back to the country of India where he then received an offer to go live in South Africa and practice law. 7 days after entering south africa is when the white man made him get off of the train car for not being an indian. That is what really sparked the movement of the great Mahatma
