Similarities – Virus vs. Harmful Bacteria
Virus and Bacteria are similar. But yet they are different. Viruses and bacteria can make copies of themselves once they are inside a living organism (“J. L.”). They are both harmful bacteria and viruses. These bacteria and viruses can be helpful to the body. All diseases that people get are from virus and bacteria( Microbe Magic). Bacteria and virus are both microscopic organisms that have the same brain structure that why they are called pathogen.
Differences – Virus vs. Harmful Bacteria
The differences between virus and bacteria is that viruses are much smaller then bacteria. Viruses can't survive without a living organism. For example a plant or animal but bacteria can survive …show more content…
It transmitted from an animal to a human(WHO). Rabies is mostly in U.S. You get rabies if an animal that has rabies bites you. For example a bat, raccoon ,skunk or fox. 50,000 people die from rabies each year(Kids Health). You can prevent bigger problems of rabies if you get treatments before the symptoms.
Scientific name: The scientific name for Rabies is Rhabdoviridae it is a family of viruses which includes Lyssavirus ,Ephemerovirus and Vesiculovirus(A.S.). Where it affects the body and how:
It affects the brain and spinal cord, or central nervous system (CNS). When rabies enter the body it makes it's way to the spinal cord via the peripheral nervous system's afferent nerves (nerves that carry impulses toward the CNS). Once the virus gets into the spinal cord, it's quickly sent up to the brain, where it begins replicating itself inside the mind's nerve cells, destroying them in the process (C.O.). When it reaches the brain it moves through the efferent nerves (they carry impulses from the CNS) to the salivary, glands, they cause increased salivation. The virus does that because after that the salvia is the method of transmission into new hosts. After the virus made its way to the salivary glands it continues going through the whole …show more content…
You can cure tuberculosis but there is more chance that you die that curing it. Tuberculosis mostly affects young adults. Deaths of tuberculosis increases every year by 1%.Almost 9 million new TB cases occurred in 2004 — 80% of them in 22 countries(WHO).
