These two areas influence on another by how they intertwine and work together to properly diagnose why a persons’ behavior is such and treat individual’s issues.
It focusses on the brain and which areas are being affected as well as the behaviors being displayed. (Wade&Tarvis, 2012) used the example of a person with a heavy substance abuse problem and how such use and how a person who does have substance abuse behavior and mood changes and how it can eventually affect organs in the body. (2012). both sciences working together to address and individuals brain and mental issues. Hence these two sciences are intertwined, and depend on each other to function properly.
It’s important for any professional working in any career to gain multiple perspectives on many different areas in their field. By gaining many different perspectives the professional in the field is able to meet and individual at the point of their need. Everyone has a story and it is important to gain all the correct and accurate information to help their
clients.
As I think of the advancements in neuroscience and how it would affect the development of professional psychology I think of the NFL players specifically a few seasons back the Philadelphia Eagles had players who were suffering concussions weekly and would return to the playing field to soon. I think as with all areas the constant advancement of technology will help bring the science of neuropsychology to be on the cutting edge.
