As twin brothers growing up in the hood we learned how to make the most of not having a lot, momma taught us to be thankful for what we had and to become leaders not followers. Mom would get us up every morning for school with the smell of breakfast in the air, most mornings we didn't always get what we wanted but momma always provided us with what we needed to get us ready for that walk to the bus stop on our way to school. Mom worked everyday to provide for us and not having a father around to give us family support or male guidance we struggled as kids growing up and we started trip’n getting into trouble,like fights with the neighborhood kids, we resorted to stealing to get what we wanted,sometimes we'd ditch school because our clothes was hand me downs and our sneakers had holes in them, we'd sneak out the house breaking curfew just to be doing it,one night mom caught us and she put the belt to our back side outside that night we took off,we even played on the train tracks for fun throwing rocks at passing trains,until the cops walked up on us and took us for a ride,when mom came to pick us up we did more crying leaving the police station than we did going,we didn't make it a habit because when mom was done with us we couldn’t sit down,but that's all we had growing up,we had a hard head and that lead to beating from mom,as time went on we learned how to make the most of it by getting involved in more productive things like going to Joe Frazier gym to watch the boxers spar,playing basketball on crates with the bottom cut out with the neighborhood kids we became friends with,we would get together and build club houses in lots with trees so high it was like a forest,we made sling shots out of a wooden board,some rubber bands from the post office,a clothes
