This will help with distraction and reestablishing normalcy. Independence is also very important so I would let Randy choose appropriate activities that involve partial weight bearing such as arm exercises, bed pushups, and exercise with parallel bars (Hockenberry, & Wilson, 2014).Playing age appropriate tv shows or movies are will also be helpful (Hockenberry, & Wilson, 2014).
